Drop Off Procedures

Please see the map below for drop off and pick up routes. Follow the red arrows and drop your students off and pick them up on the south side of the building. Please refrain from using the bus loop at the front of the building for student drop off or pick up.

Students will be permitted to enter the building at 7:24 am each school day. Students arriving prior to 7:24 am each day do so at their own risk, as there is no staff supervision at this time. Students must be in their first-period class before the tardy bell, at 7:35 am.

Upon dismissal, at 2:25 pm,  please leave the building promptly and in an orderly fashion. Use the sidewalks and do not run. Buses will wait a limited time.

Students are not permitted to be at school after school hours without adult supervision. Disciplinary action may result from students in unauthorized areas after school hours.

Students that are picked up will be picked up on the south side of the building, using the same flow as drop off in the morning.

Please help ensure the safety of all students, and maintain a consistent flow of traffic by supporting us with the following:

  • Do not enter the bus loop while buses are present, and no person should ever pull in between buses during arrival or dismissal times.
  • When navigating the parent drop off line please...
    • Abide by the one way traffic. Do not go against the flow of traffic.
    • Drop your child off by the 600 hall where staff are present.
    • Pick your child up by the 600 hall where staff are present.
    • Please stay alert for other children and avoid changing lanes, do not drive up the middle.
    • Do not park or pick up your child in the west (Rugby field lot) as this is our pick up location for our special needs bus. Please do not pick your child up in the middle of Watkins road, or in the court of the neighborhood to the south of WMS.
    • Parents are encouraged to exit and drive west on warrior way to help with the flow of traffic. Remember that buses will have the right of way on school properties.
    • Please be patient, alert, and polite.
