Principal's Message
Welcome to Watkins Middle School!
Middle school is an important transitional time. Students are discovering their interests, becoming more independent, building new relationships and developing habits that will follow them into high school and beyond. Growth during these years does not happen all at once. It is built through consistent attendance, daily effort and the willingness to keep going when learning becomes challenging.
At Watkins Middle School, our vision is simple: Attend. Engage. Persist.
Attend means being present and ready to learn each day. Every day matters and regular attendance keeps students connected to their teachers, classmates and learning.
Engage means actively participating, asking questions, completing work and becoming involved in the school community. Students grow when they take an active role in their education.
Persist means continuing to work through challenges, learning from mistakes and not giving up. Success is not about getting everything right the first time, it is about developing the stamina and confidence to keep improving.
Together, these habits help our students Build their Foundation for future success. Our staff is committed to supporting every student academically, socially and emotionally throughout this important stage of their development. We also value the partnership of our families and community as we help students become confident, responsible and prepared for what comes next.
We are proud to be Warriors and we look forward to a great year at Watkins Middle School.
